Hampstead

The complete refurbishment of this Victorian house, located at the bottom of Parliament Hill, included the conversion of two flats into single dwelling and construction of a side extension with a feature brick wall and unified internal floor and garden levels.  The floor has been opened in the rear bedrooms to create a two storey library. The project also included new bathrooms, kitchen and an upgrade of the original staircase. New electrical, plumbing and heating services were installed throughout.

Challenging ground conditions and restricted site access meant that very careful excavation by hand and the subsequent construction of retaining walls and roof slab was necessary to form this luxurious garden pool and spa room. Features included the provision of a modern stainless steel spiral staircase and a host of natural light sources. Our engineers installed Lutron Homeworks, video entry, AV and a telephone system.

The main property originally comprised two semi detached houses, which have been combined and refurbished. Extensive alterations and additions include the manufacture and installation of a variety of purpose made joinery and the overhaul and upgrading of the main staircase. Our engineers have installed a Unico heating & cooling system and the house has been completely rewired.

This Grade 2 listed building had fallen into a state of some disrepair. Our brief was to convert two existing apartments into one high spec dwelling. The project required the sympathetic overhaul of original features such as box sash windows and cornice. New hardwood timber floorboards were installed throughout, new plumbing, heating and electrical services provided and high standards of finish to the new kitchen, bathrooms and décor were delivered on time and on budget.

'' I would be delighted to recommend Clockwork Construction to anyone considering a house renovation. There were a number of challenging aspects relating to listed buildings restrictions and strict rules relating to noise, dust and disturbance to neighbours. The job was completed on time and within budget. The workers are professional, polite and they keep a very clean site.''
